HUF first opened its doors in August 2002, with the aim to bring the best brands footwear, streetwear and skateboarding had to offer under one roof. The roof however, was tiny. Even owner Keith Hufnagel didn't have the foresight to imagine how well received his vision would be on an offbeat block of Sutter Street just above the Tenderloin District.

What started as a simple solution to Hufnagel's frustration to find what he wanted to wear in San Francisco, has grown into 3 shops and a clothing brand. However Keith's first love has always been and always will be Skateboarding. He continues to tour the world on his board with his team and his friends, which helps fuel and inspire his retail vision.
