"Defective item and poor customer service"

I bought a pair of shoes that arrived with some damage to the heel. Customer service told me that they were holding a replacement in reserve - but when I sent my shoes in, I was told that the item was no longer available! So not only did I get a damaged item, but I also was misled about getting it replaced. Awful. At least their response time was relatively fast.

I do not usually write reviews but felt I had to defend La Garconne. Having read several negative reviews, I contacted their customer services direct to ask them a)if they delivered to the UK and b) could they reassure me I would receive my goods within reasonable time, etc. They responded extremely promptly and said yes they do ship to the UK if your order is over a certain amount and they reassured me my purchase would arrive 2 days after processing payment. They did say occasionally things do go wrong but it's very rare. I am thrilled with my purchase which came today Thursday, after ordering them on the Monday. Beautifully wrapped and undamaged. I would definitely recommend La Garconne but like me if you have any worries, contact them direct.

1. It makes no sense for first time orders to go to a billing address and not any shipping address. 2. I ordered a pari of shoes July 31, 2012 with anticipated shipping dates to be Aug 10th, 2012, and they STILL have no shipped. No e-mail updates or anything. NOT A HAPPY COSTUMER. Never doing business with them again, nor am I recommending them to friends.

I ordered a $270 bracelet off La Garconne, and it was delivered to my house within a week and was in perfect condition. Free shipping as well, since I ordered something that was over $200. Probably won't order something again though since everything is so expensive..

Terrible customer service is right! Just received a pair of size 37 shoes from them which clearly run small. That was not indicated from the website and of course it's final sale. I emailed repeatedly asking for them to permit me an exchange to correct the size but like everyone else on this site haven't heard back. after multiple emails. Rather than waste more of my time effort I think I'll just sell them on ebay... Better than losing my money to La Garconne!

Worst customer service ever -- I think they hire interns to man the phone lines. Please stay away from this entity. Considering how much money I spent on 3 orders recently with just a few easy returns and exchanges, no one at that company seems to care about upholding the "fine print" they state on their website. If we adhere to your rules, please do us the simplest courtesy of at least honoring those rules when we ask you to. Ok? Not that hard. Learn how to run a business or better yet, I am more than happy to walk around the corner to 447 Broadway to have this discussion in person... considering no one returns my emails, my voicemails cause yes, I happen to have all the time in the world chasing you up for an answer.

Lagarconne- Don't risk your money! I also had a terrible experience. From my experience the quality of the merchandise they sell is totally unimportant to them. I ordered a $500 which fell apart after wearing it twice. They told me they would not take the item back and were not in the least concerned about being an advocate of the side of a customer. I asked for the contact of the maker so I could contact them direct and they never returned my email. They need to learn a bit about service from the better, more established luxury sites. It is quite clear they do not value their customers. Behind that website they are third rate all the way!

i am only giving one star because that's the minimum. i bought a pair of pants through them during their major sale this season. since the pants were a final sale item, i called TWICE to verify that the size i wanted to buy was the right size. both times the sales girls confirmed that it was; so i went ahead and purchased the pants. i get them this week only to find that the size is totally off; they're at least a size smaller than what the sales girls told me. calling their customer service line is useless; i spoke with the manager who repeatedly and condescendingly stated their "final sale policy" over and over, without bothering to register and listen to my side of the transaction, which was the fact that they gave me the WRONG info on the item which resulted in my buying the wrong size. there needs to be some responsibility and acountability for this kind of issue on the seller's end, given that other online retailers like Revolve and net-a-porter have explicitly posted measurements for ALL their items, provide extensive fit support through their customer service, and have refund/exchange policies that reflect a genuine concern for the risks that the customer takes when purchasing clothes online. and yes, echoing the previous reviewer, la garconne items are rarely on sale, and i will not be giving them more of my business. the customer service manager pretended to take down my phone # to get back to me yesterday in order to "investigate the issue further", but, surprise surprise, she never called and when i called this morning to follow up she went back to her condescending restatement of the store policy. would you shop with a store that has such a low standard for customer service and care?

I had terrible experience with buying clothes through La Garconne. It was an int'l order. It turned out they couldn't ship it with Fed Ex to Europe, but i was still charged $75 for shipping and dellivery. And on top of that I had to pay $89 for return ( they paid another $89 of $178 return fee). Every time when I tried to call to customer service, I would talk to a voice mail, and if I leave a message with my phone number, they either wouldn't call back at all, or call in 2-3 days. I put that order in June, and it's August 15, and it still hasn't been shipped to me. Everything is overpriced. FYI spent $1.5oo for 5 items. I am buying those clothes for my friend, I would never order something like this for myself, especially for that price
