About Tom and Hawk
tom & hawk is a young brand, that was founded by the sisters annette and susanne wirz in august 2011 in aalen, germany.
susanne is into knitwear business since 5 years. in her profession as a designer and product manager she got in contact with many italian knitwear manufacturers. in cooperation with them she developed the first samples for tom & hawk.
inspired by ethnical designs and old patterns from the 80s, a young collection full of favourite pieces was created. in old archives susanne found patterns made on the cms machine, a knitting machine that is able to make almost every design. a technique that got lost during the last few years while most suppliers were making only plain sweaters.
