Free delivery, free returns, 10% (sometimes 20%) N.U.S discount, I wish all clothes stores had these perks. Considering the amount of stock they have, there’s a lot of dross. But if they have what you are after you can’t go wrong. Bought a lot from ASOS over these last few years, only had one item, a belt, that went missing in the post. Emailed them and they sent another one out next day delivery. Top marks all round for me!

I believe ASOS was one of the first sites to make some progress with online fashion retailing. For a few years I didn’t really pay any attention to it as it seemed to be built around the concept of the user copying the look of the stars (hence the name ASOS – ‘As Seen On Screen’). However they appear to have dropped this approach to focus on becoming more of a online fashion superstore / department store in recent years. The site now has one of the largest ranges of labels out there, more often than not focused at the high street level rather than true designers.

I have purchased from ASOS many times and have always had a pleasant experience. The items have always arrived in perfect condition and promptly.

I probably wouldn’t buy ASOS branded items again as the quality is not there. I purchased some merino jumpers and they bobbled immediately. Then again what can I expect for £15 each, they were no John Smedley’s.

Back to the site, I moved to Australia a few years ago, and what impressed me more about ASOS then was that they offer the lowest international shipping rate at £10.50 and the items still arrive usually within a week.

ASOS also send out from time to time emails with Australia only specials. Due to these reasons and word of mouth, I know of a lot of Aussies who have now started to check out the site use it frequently.

I would have to say that the site could do with a little refresh however as Review #2 said, it’s not as if there is anything wrong with it.

I also agree with the customer service comment, it does their job but they isn’t the personal touch. My understanding (from reading the ASOS wikipedia page) is that they employ a considerable number of staff in a call centre which is why I think this is the case. At the end of the day, this is what helps them keep the prices down.

Been buying from asos for about 10 years now and have always had a very good experience. Very easy to deal with, with free returns and free delivery a lot of the time. My favourite clothing site.

I am absolutely disgusted with both the quality of this item and the customer service behind the company. Within the first day of wearing the coat all the front buttons had fallen off. I then had to go out of my way to get the item back to them for them to send out another coat of exactly the same poor quality. You would have thought they would have checked the second coat for quality issues before sending it out.. but the same thing happened with the replacement. I have been battling this out with customer service now continuingly for over a week and they’ve just made the whole situation ten times worse. Best of luck to anyone using this company! A certain place will have to freeze over before I go back to them.

Absolutely awful service and delivery time, after finally getting a reply as to why my parcel hadn’t arrived i was told it was out of stock. Replacement chosen, e-mailed and a further 6 days to process and deliver parcel. Complaint ignored, no phone number to call and complain – not that im bothered, plenty of other places out there that will happily take my money and treat me with more respect as a person and paying customer! Personal opinion…AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

ASOS’s main attraction to me was there huge assortment of clothing. They’ve got loads of things, and that’s what attracted me to them and made me stay with them.

A friend pointed out to me a year or so ago that this is a silly way of shopping, and that I should be adventrous and try other places. Having now done this, I’m not in a rush to get back to ASOS.

Don’t get me wrong – ASOS haven’t done anything wrong. But neither have they done anything special. They have a great range of brands, but the site lacks atmosphere and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service gets the job done, but it just doesn’t seem like they ‘care’ – whereas you buy from one of the smaller ‘local’ shops and you get a much more enjoyable shopping experience.

I’ve rated ASOS 3/5. They have loads of nice clothes, and the website has some nice feautres, but it’s just too impersonal and ‘lifeless’. I’ll still keep my eye on their clothes, but I don’t think I’ll be buying from there unless they’ve got something exclusive to them or they have a massive sale on.

ordered a £10 shirt for my brother which was £8 with the discount code yesterday at about 11am, capped with the regular free delivery service and the item has just arrived. Item took 12 hours to get to N.Ire with email updates of the items status all the way through.

Perfect. Never had better.
