Latest The Rake Reviews
The lights are on but the train isn't coming!
I bought 3 pairs of shoes from the Rake. These arrived separately in 3 boxes.
None of the shoes fitted unfortunately, although they were , to be fair, very nice shoes. One shoe was damaged due to there being zero padding or protection around it other than the box itself, unlike the others which had been well packed. I contacted The Rake to inform them of this and packed out the shoe with bubble wrap and tissue paper of my own.
I then contacted the Rake again and tried to arrange a return. I was given one Waybill for 3 boxes…….??!. Given the Rake charges a MASSIVE £15 delivery for a pair of shoes in the first place within the UK (they are in London) having already coughed up £45 in carriage, to then have to provide my own large box to accommodate the 3 shoe boxes together is taking the rise to put it mildly. There was no acknowledgement of receipt and several days later I am still awaiting a refund……something an economy store like Peacocks or similar can seemingly manage in minutes, For £15 a pop you’d think they might get on with it? . So there you have it. Lovely clothes and lousy service. Frankly not good enough by any stretch of the imagination. Rather than The Rake you may wish to try The Allotment in the future, not many vegetables either unlike this lot.
