About L'Homme Rouge
L’HOMME ROUGE is the outgrowth of several happenings throughout our lives. The idea of the company derived from the disbelief in today’s overconsumption. We wanted to counter this mentality and therefore decided to focus on sustainability through quality products with ageless design. A L’HOMME ROUGE product will age with you and be by your side for many years to come. The majority of our products have classic looks, which make them less sensitive for changes in fashion. Quality is of great importance, but we want to clarify that we do not create for the rich, but rather for the careful consumer. See our clothes and accessories as investments.
The brand was founded in Lund, Sweden in 2010 by John-Ruben Holtback, accompanied by his younger brother Carl-Johan. Shortly after the start they were joined by Axel Trägårdh and Iza von Eyben, this was the time when L'HR started the visionary transformation going from just selling knitted hats to becoming a real fashion brand. In 2011 when shooting their first commercial film they got in contact with the talented design student Jonatan Härngren, who's been from this day on the supporting designer of the L'HOMME ROUGE clothing collections. In the end of August 2012 the first line of clothes was released.
