Shanghai-born designer Ziggy Chen established his eponymous label in 2012 aiming to create a minimalist collection that probes the coalescence of contemporary refinement and wearability. Drawing inspiration from the Song dynasty, Qing dynasty, and the republic of China, the brand’s ready-to-wear offerings underscore a strong connection with traditional Chinese origins while exploring innovative sewing and construction techniques. Featuring deconstructed tailoring, lightweight linen jackets, relaxed-fit trousers, elongated shirts, and minimalist t-shirts are rendered in thoughtfully-sourced textiles, subdued earthy tones, and singular finishings.
