About Closed
As a clothing brand, Closed dates back to the late Seventies, and originated out of Italy. They quickly captured the market with the now iconic Pedal Pusher denim jean. A significantly new idea at the time, it earned the company instant success.
Closed continued to innovate and deliver to an enthusiastic clientele. The brand is best known in this early period for their stone wash technique. A finish that every denim manufacturer adopted throughout the late Seventies and Eighties.
More recently, the brand was purchased by three industry professionals. Gordon Giers, Til Nadler and Hans Redlefsen initially met as friends and subsequently became business partners when they took on the company as a partnership. They are now responsible for its direction.
Closed is a family-oriented enterprise, proud of its heritage whilst always looking ahead to future innovations. Today, it is recognised as a high end clothing label that delivers a total look. The design signature fulfils its aim to provide sophisticated casual wear, combining relaxed functionality with emerging fabric research.
The core values that started Closed remain valid today, some thirty years on. Reliability, faith and stability.
