An absolutely dreadful company, they should not be allowed on Fashion Sauce period.

They send stuff to you in the first place in deliberately flimsy, crap packaging. Then, should you wish to return the item they insist it comes back in the same box or they deduct a very large percentage from your refund. I f I had done this the item would have simply fallen through the hole in the box. So I put it in a new one (sensible?) before returning it. Over 5 emails they behaved like 5 year olds over this issue. Then, when I could clearly see that the item was signed for and received by them via tracking, they refused for two weeks to accept they had it!! Even though the evidence was staring them in the face! I am still awaiting a refund two and a half weeks ( which is in breach of European law, as they state and have to abide by their own terms and conditions, which they have failed to do when I wasn’t refunded after a maximum 2 weeks after the item was returned and PayPal are now pointing both barrels at the useless thieving twats. For Gods sake read this before buying anything from this criminal online store

I was a first time customer to caliroots. I ordered several pairs of the same shoe in various sizes (12, 11.5, 10.5, 11) from this company, and they accepted payment for all four pairs of the shoes I ordered.

Rather than communicating with me that they could not fill multiple orders of this particular shoe due to limited availability and asking me which pair I would like shipped, they chose to ship one pair (11.5) arbitrarily. I would have selected the size 12 shoes. Now I have a pair of shoes that are too small for me (ordering shoes online is tricky as not all brands are consistent with their sizing).

Why this pair? I suspect as others have indicated they participate in the practice of selling inventory that they don’t have in stock and then hide behind policies that are posted on their website.

Am I the only customer who doesn’t scour a website to read all the terms of purchase prior to purchasing a product online. I doubt it! My assumption is if they accept payment they will fill the order.

My disappointment in this company is not that they cancelled the multiple orders but that they did not take the time to reach out to me to explain their policy and ask me which pair I would like shipped. Would have been a simple solution.

Now here I am taking time out of my day to write reviews on consumer websites so that others don’t make the same mistake.

The bottom line for me is that if something goes wrong with an order don’t expect this company to provide a level of customer service that many of us have grown accustom to expecting from online retailers.

The company did offer to let me return the shoes I received from then, but shipping would be at my expense. Denver, CO to Sweden shipping ranged from $192.80 to $255.13.

Worst online order experience ever.

Nice selection of boots, so i decided to order a pair for around $250. As the package was about to go overseas to the US from Sweden it had to be returned to sender as it was missing the invoice on the box. This added about a week delay.

As it arrived in the US, it was held up by customs because of the “lack of documentation”. The package was again held for 3 days and when it finally arrived at my door i was charged $90 COD.

Avoid this site by any means, their customer service took a week to respond and wasnt even helpful.

Ordered a pair of boots from their site for cheap, however when it got to my door i had to pay about $70 on COD when I already payed $25 for their UPS expedited shipping.

The review above me is correct, they dont give you a heads up about the COD.. The only reason i bought something from them was because the boots were the cheapest on their site but if you factor in the fees and charges i might as well have bought them from another site who doesn’t charge ridiculous shipping fees.

PS. Their customer service was decent, it took about 3 business days to answer my inquiry.

Excellent selection. Absolutely awful customer service. US customers beware- these guys will not tell you prior to ordering about the absurd charges you will be asked for COD on delivery by UPS, on top of the shipping you’ve already paid a ton to Caliroots for.

Caliroots uses UPS shipments which pass a “brokerage fee” for customs along to the customer, but there is no warning of this at checkout, and the amount is not included in your order. I had a 500USD order which I was charged nearly 100USD by Ups for on delivery.
