In a city known mostly for the world's largest shopping mall, gravitypope became a popular and successful street-side store, eventually becoming a business community leader. Through the nineties, gravitypope provided much of western Canada with fashionable shoes and clothing. From grunge Dr. Martens to raver style platform shoes, gravitypope built a reputation for keeping up with and staying ahead of fashion trends. Dirks worked to import quality shoes that reflected traditional, hand-crafted shoemaking techniques to complement trendier styles.
In 2000, building upon gravitypope's growing reputation, a second location was opened in Calgary, Canada. In 2004, Dirks opened a third gravitypope shoe store in Vancouver and launched a private label line of shoes. She also founded and opened two locations of gravitypope Tailored Goods stores showcasing a unique line of hand-picked designer clothing labels and accessories.
Gravitypope is committed to providing their customer with a unique collection of modern brands and products that are exciting and relevant in this ever changing world of fashion.
